Persona helped shape and sponsor California legislation against unauthorized AI replicas of a person’s voice, image, or likeness.

First introduced as SB 970, the proposal returned as SB 11 in 2025 — seeking legal recourse for victims, clearer warnings on cloning tools, and safeguards for AI-manipulated evidence in court.
